Happy Monday, everyone! \u00a0 Today is a special day here because Mr. Right and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary. \u00a0You know him as Mr. Autumn, but I have decided to start calling him what he is. \u00a0That’s right. \u00a0I mean Mr. Right.<\/h3>\n

Since it’s our anniversary, let’s discuss\u00a0Marriage<\/span><\/em> Matters<\/em>.<\/span> \u00a0\u00a0Berkley Books sent this adorable book to me that was written by Lexington resident Cynthia Ellingsen. \u00a0I mentioned it here before when I said I would be getting it for my mother-in-law for Mother’s Day. \u00a0Well, I finally got around to reading it myself, and it is very entertaining.<\/h3>\n

I know how so many of us are always looking for “beach reads”. \u00a0They are the books that take us away when we are relaxing at the beach while on vacation or even while sitting on our back porches. \u00a0They help us escape from our day to day mundane routines. \u00a0Well, if you have been on the search for that kind of book,\u00a0Marriage Matters<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<\/em>is it. \u00a0It’s available here<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

It is the story of three family members. \u00a0We have the grandma, June who is a widow. \u00a0I know several Junes and had fun picturing them as this character. \u00a0Her daughter Kristine has been married for twenty-five years but is now unsure how she still feels about the union. \u00a0And then there is Chloe who is knee-deep in graduate school but has found herself attracted to one man but also having feelings for another. \u00a0Each woman has a very strong story line, and it’s easy to become emotionally attached to each character. \u00a0Now that I have finished, I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a nice, fresh, summer read that is thoroughly entertaining.<\/h3>\n
