When we remodeled our townhouse and added a laundry room<\/a> to the second floor, I wanted a glass pocket door to provide both privacy and light.<\/h3>\n

This door from Home Depot was one of my choices, but it was a little too busy for me.<\/h3>\n

Instead I went with this frosted pocket door from Home Depot. \u00a0I can’t see a pile of dirty laundry when I walk down the hall but yet a little sunshine from the laundry room window still brightens the hall (along with our solar tube<\/a>).<\/h3>\n

When the door is open (it’s hidden in the wall) the view looks like this. \u00a0It’s not bad, but I keep the door closed most of the time.<\/h3>\n

Our pantry has the same type of frosted pocket door, and I upgraded it with a decal that Jordan made for me. \u00a0She received a Silhouette Cameo<\/a> for Christmas, and making it was simple for her. \u00a0I like my pantry sign so much that I asked her to also make one for the laundry room.<\/h3>\n

First we had a session on Skype to select the font and the font size. \u00a0I wanted something that was a good companion to the pantry sign even though they were on different floors in our place. \u00a0I am OCD like that. \u00a0This is a shot of my computer screen which was actually showing what Jordan was typing onto her screen in Syracuse. \u00a0You gotta love technology.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0Unlike hanging the faux French headboard in our master bedroom (here<\/a>), this was a small project that I could do alone. \u00a0All I needed was a level, a pencil, and a measuring tape.<\/h3>\n

I measured the door, selected the place where the sign would go, found the center, and drew a level line across the surface. \u00a0Then I gently peeled the backing from the decal.<\/h3>\n

Then I placed it on the window and smoothed it out with the edge of a credit card. \u00a0It was important to remove any air bumps and to make sure it was securely sticking to the window.<\/h3>\n

Next I removed the top layer, and voila! \u00a0My door is gorgeous!!!<\/h3>\n
