My most favorite posts to write are the ones that show you a room or a project in the reveal category. \u00a0That means I did it, it is finished, the mess is cleaned up, and it’s time to show and tell. \u00a0Well, unfortunately, that hasn’t happened yet with this project, so I’m just going to tell you what I’m going to do.<\/h3>\n

Although I would like to be, Lulubelle is the queen of the kitchen in our house. \u00a0She oversees everything and misses nothing. \u00a0However, when I recently moved this bench to one side of the kitchen table,\u00a0Lulubelle looked “off.”<\/h3>\n

The chippy green on this bench, and the aqua in Lulubelle’s background clashed. \u00a0At 36 x 36, her painting makes a big statement in the kitchen, and I didn’t want to move her. \u00a0Afterall, she’s the queen.<\/h3>\n

The chairs at the table are pure white by Sherwin Williams and match all of the woodwork in the room. \u00a0I asked Jordan’s friend Anna, who spent Easter week-end here, which color she would suggest that I use for repainting the bench. \u00a0Anna is a decorator in Atlanta, and she said to go with the same white.<\/h3>\n

I really like that the bench is a different color than the chairs, but I see that Anna’s suggestion is the right one. \u00a0(By the way, this bench was the first piece of furniture we bought new as a married couple. \u00a0It was originally a maple finish).<\/h3>\n

I have been procrastinating because I will strip the two layers of paint that are on the bench before I paint it white. \u00a0I am not into applying layer upon layer of paint to a piece of furniture. \u00a0I want to start with a clean canvas. \u00a0So, now that I have written about what I am going to do, it is time to get off of my bottom and go do it. \u00a0Hopefully, writing this post is the incentive I need to get started. \u00a0The next time you see this bench, it will be<\/strong> white.<\/h3>\n
