Today I need your help. \u00a0Blog world is loaded with people painting rugs. \u00a0So, I thought I should paint one, too. \u00a0(Keep in mind that the rug (here<\/a>)I made for my laundry area (here<\/a>) was a new creation. \u00a0It was different from this little project in which I am working with what I have.) \u00a0Plus, our indoor\/outdoor kitchen runner is in need of some love.<\/h3>\n

I bought the rug on Overstock a couple of years ago. \u00a0It now has some stains I cannot get out. I have taken it outside and scrubbed it but with no luck. \u00a0That was the final straw that pushed me into the paint corner.<\/h3>\n

This is when I love my large dining room table. \u00a0I put an old cloth on top, threw on the rug, and was ready to paint. \u00a0Here is another close up. \u00a0My first step was the primer.<\/h3>\n

After applying a whole quart of primer, this was the result – basically nothing.<\/h3>\n

Here is a close up. \u00a0You can barely tell I did a thing, and after a whole quart!!! \u00a0I need help!!! \u00a0I am wondering \u00a0if you all out there have any suggestions. \u00a0Should I try spraying it or use a different type of paint? Or should I just go buy a new rug? \u00a0Any helpful tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.<\/h3>\n
