{"id":16323,"date":"2013-02-21T18:00:01","date_gmt":"2013-02-21T23:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=16323"},"modified":"2013-02-21T18:00:01","modified_gmt":"2013-02-21T23:00:01","slug":"bon-appetits-banana-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/?p=16323","title":{"rendered":"Bon Appetit&#8217;s Banana Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Happy Friday, everyone. \u00a0In case you are wondering why Jordan has been \u00a0M.I.A. from the blog this week, it&#8217;s because she was traveling and is now getting back into her routine. \u00a0She will be back next week with some projects. \u00a0In fact, I&#8217;ll get to see her and our son this week-end when the whole family will get together to celebrate my father&#8217;s 90th birthday. \u00a0How cool is that!!!<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">*****<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">I have always been a fan of banana bread, so when <em>Bon Appeti<\/em>t magazine shared a popular recipe for Julia&#8217;s banana bread in their latest issue, I had to try it. \u00a0It takes just a few ingredients and tastes great. \u00a0I made four mini-loaves so they would be easier to freeze. \u00a0I am the only one in this household eating bread products these days, so this treat is mine, all mine.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2013\/02\/21\/bon-appetits-banana-bread\/img_4727\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-16348\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-16348\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_4727-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"614\" height=\"409\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_4727-1024x681.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_4727-430x286.jpg 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 614px) 100vw, 614px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>JULIA&#8217;S BANANA BREAD<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<h3>Ingredients<\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Nonstick vegetable oil spray<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>1 3\/4\u00a0cup\u00a0all-purpose flour<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>1 1\/2\u00a0teaspoons\u00a0baking soda<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>3\/4\u00a0teaspoon\u00a0kosher salt<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>3\u00a0large eggs<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>1 1\/2\u00a0cups\u00a0sugar<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>1\u00a0cup\u00a0mashed ripe bananas (about 2 large)<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>3\/4\u00a0cup\u00a0vegetable oil<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3>Preparation<\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Coat a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Whisk eggs, sugar, bananas, and oil in a large bowl until smooth. Add dry ingredients to banana mixture and stir just until combined. Scrape batter into prepared pan and smooth top.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Bake until a tester inserted into the center of bread comes out clean, 60-70 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack; let bread cool in pan for 15 minutes. Run a knife around inside of pan to release the bread. Turn out onto rack and let cool completely.\u00a0<strong>DO AHEAD:<\/strong><em>\u00a0Banana bread can be made 3 days ahead.
