\u00a0That&#8217;s right, boys and girls. \u00a0We have cinnamon rolls today. \u00a0And I&#8217;m here to tell you that they are worth every single calorie. \u00a0Just run an extra mile, swim some more laps, and spin a little bit harder. \u00a0It will all be worth it.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2013\/01\/17\/cinnamon-rolls-worth-every-calorie\/cinnamon-roll-dough\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-15425\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-15425\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Cinnamon-roll-dough-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"614\" height=\"409\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Cinnamon-roll-dough-1024x681.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Cinnamon-roll-dough-430x286.jpg 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 614px) 100vw, 614px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Lucky for me, our local paper featured an article about cinnamon rolls in today&#8217;s edition, and they selected this recipe from a book called <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">I Love Cinnamon Rolls!<\/span>\u00a0by JudithFertig. \u00a0It&#8217;s has a lot of steps, but just work on something else while they rise and bake.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2013\/01\/17\/cinnamon-rolls-worth-every-calorie\/baked-cinnamon-rolls\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-15426\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-15426\" src=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Baked-cinnamon-rolls-1024x673.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"614\" height=\"404\" srcset=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Baked-cinnamon-rolls-1024x673.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Baked-cinnamon-rolls-430x282.jpg 430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 614px) 100vw, 614px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em><strong>TRADITIONAL CINNAMON ROLL DOUGH<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>1 cup whole milk<\/h3>\n<h3>4 tablespoons unsalted softened butter<\/h3>\n<h3>1\/3 cup sugar<\/h3>\n<h3>1 teaspoon salt<\/h3>\n<h3>2 eggs<\/h3>\n<h3>3 1\/3 cups all purpose flour, plus more for kneading and dusting<\/h3>\n<h3>2 1\/2 teaspoons yeast<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0&#8211; Mix the first four ingredients and heat to no more than 130 degrees and then whisk in eggs.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u00a0&#8211; Combine flour and yeast and add liquid mixture.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u00a0&#8211; Mix in a stand mixer with paddle attachment for 5 to 6 minutes and then switch to dough hook and knead 4 to 6 minutes longer.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u00a0&#8211; Place in greased bowl and let rise till double in size.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">CLASSIC CINNAMON ROLLS<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>1 recipe from above<\/h3>\n<h3>Flour for dusting<\/h3>\n<h3>8 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened<\/h3>\n<h3>1 cup brown sugar<\/h3>\n<h3>2 1\/2 tablespoons cinnamon<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0&#8211; Spread 4 tablespoons of butter into a 9 x 13 pan<\/h3>\n<h3>\u00a0&#8211; Place dough on floured surface and roll out to a 16 x 20 rectangle<\/h3>\n<h3>\u00a0&#8211; Spread remaining 4 tablespoons of butter on top of the dough<\/h3>\n<h3>\u00a0&#8211; Mix brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over dough. \u00a0Roll up dough starting at short side to form a cylinder. \u00a0Cut into 12 rolls.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u00a0&#8211; Place rolls in buttered pan, cover, and let double in size again.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u00a0&#8211; Then bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 15 to 17 minutes or till browned on top<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">GLAZE<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>2 cups powdered sugar<\/h3>\n<h3>Pinch of salt<\/h3>\n<h3>1 tablespoon whole milk<\/h3>\n<h3>1 tablespoon unsalted butter<\/h3>\n<h3>2 tablespoons strong brewed coffee<\/h3>\n<h3>1\/2 tablespoon maple syrup<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0&#8211; Combine ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">*****<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\">Take care and have a great week-end. \u00a0I&#8217;ll be spending next week at Jordan&#8217;s in Syracuse. \u00a0We have two big projects planned, and I hope we have enough time to complete them both. \u00a0Stay tuned. \u00a0We&#8217;ll keep you posted.<\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s Friday, and here at The 2 Seasons that usually means a recipe. \u00a0And since it&#8217;s a January Friday, we&#8217;re going for comfort food. \u00a0What could be more comforting then the smell of homemade cinnamon rolls drifting from the oven?
