…..Into the future. \u00a0Do you remember that Steve Miller song? \u00a0Well, time is on our mind this week here at The 2 Seasons<\/em>. \u00a0Today is Jordan’s birthday, my birthday is Wednesday, and our blog turns two years old. \u00a0And if that isn’t enough, I just made a time-related decorating change this week-end. \u00a0So let’s get started…. Time is wasting\u00a0<\/del>slippin’.<\/h3>\n

Happy Birthday<\/em>, Jordan<\/em><\/span>. \u00a0You have been the perfect daughter and friend for the past 33 years, and I am privileged to be your mother. \u00a0 I cherish every minute we spend together, spend on the phone, and spend on Skype. \u00a0You’ve made your mama (and daddy) proud!!!<\/h3>\n

As much as I love this old phone and my grandmother’s<\/a> slate that have graced this wall in our kitchen for the past year and a half, I decided it was time (there’s that word again) to mix things up and add some color.<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

I bought this clock, which measures 36 inches in diameter, with some Christmas cash I received from my mother<\/a> and mother-in-law, and Mr. Autumn hung it for me.<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

Isn’t he cute here working away on the project?<\/h3>\n

This clock isn’t old, but the distressed metal makes it appear to be used and worn.<\/h3>\n

I love the way Bob and Cortney Novogratz<\/a> squeeze large objects into not so large spaces. \u00a0So, I knew hanging this clock on a 41 inch wall would be okay. \u00a0Plus, it balances out Lulubelle, whose canvas is 36 inches square.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Also, the clock’s finish and Lulubelle’s background color work. \u00a0They play together well.<\/h3>\n

We transferred the phone and slate to a small wall beside the entrance to the pantry<\/a>. \u00a0I just have to remember it so I won’t constantly have a black eye from walking into it. \u00a0Mr. Autumn said it can always be moved to another wall. \u00a0Since I am the one who enters the pantry 99.99 per cent of the time, no one else should be affected by it.<\/h3>\n

No matter which part of the kitchen I am in, I can look up and read this writing on the clock and pretend I’m in Paris.<\/h3>\n
