<\/a><\/p>\n<\/h3>\nWhoever owned this baby had<\/del>\u00a0made a lot of dough. \u00a0It is huge, as you can see from the photo. \u00a0I’m thinking they baked for the army, the navy, or maybe the Duggars. \u00a0I love it but just didn’t realize how big it was. \u00a0It spent several months leaning against the wall in the kitchen and looked as if it belonged.<\/h3>\n <\/p>\n

When Christmas season rolled around, I decided to load that bad boy up with faux greenery and apples and call it the dining room centerpiece.<\/h3>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n<\/h3>\nSince my mantra this year is to use what I have in interesting ways, this fits the bill. \u00a0I also pulled out a very old piece of French linen that I have had for several years but never used. \u00a0They look so nice and old together – like a couple that have been together for years and years.<\/h3>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n<\/h3>\nIt almost fills up the entire length of the dining room table. \u00a0When we eat there, it needs to be removed so the plates and the food will fit.<\/h3>\n

<\/a><\/p>\nThe little wooden apples that I added to the mix came from Williamsburg, VA many years ago. \u00a0One of them looks as if it has been eaten, so I laid it on the table to be the element of surprise. \u00a0(Doesn’t that sound fancy???)<\/h3>\n

<\/a><\/p>\nThe bowl has been well-used. \u00a0I love how old and distressed it is. \u00a0For some reason, I like rustic things especially at Christmas. \u00a0It must have something to do with my childhood. \u00a0I think that I would have some rustic decorations around at Christmas even if I lived in the most contemporary house out there.<\/h3>\n
