Wine Crawl &#8211; Take 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">It&#8217;s time again to share the deets with you on this year&#8217;s annual neighborhood wine crawl. \u00a0You can read all about last year&#8217;s crawl and some hints on hosting your own wine crawl <a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2011\/09\/06\/hosting-a-wine-crawl\/\">here.<\/a>\u00a0 If beer is more we each picked our own theme. \u00a0To limit the number of houses to a reasonable number we could all walk (or crawl) to in one evening, couples teamed up for hosting.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-size: 13px; font-weight: normal;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a vacation in Mendoza, which is the heart of Argentina&#8217;s wine region, last spring and wanted to share the experience with our neighbors.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p center;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Argentina is known for their Malbec so of course we had to let the group get a taste of this great wine.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Along with the wine, each house prepared foods to pair with their wines. \u00a0Beef empanadas are a traditional Argentina food that worked great with the Malbec.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2012\/10\/10\/our-wine-crawl-take-2\/wine-crawl-pasta\/\" sizes=\"(max-width: 425px) 100vw, 425px\" \/><\/a><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">A pasta salad was suggested to pair with white wines. \u00a0We served it in little throw-away cups. \u00a0It kept the clean-up to a minimum. \u00a0We also served a Torrontes that we discovered in Argentina. \u00a0It is a crisp white, and I suggest you give it a try. \u00a0We tried a couple of \u00a0brands, and we all said our favorite was by Norton. \u00a0We were shocked because it was the least expensive.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2012\/10\/10\/our-wine-crawl-take-2\/wine-crawl-labels\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-13300\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter sizes=\"(max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/a><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0To label the wines and food, I made cut-outs in the shape of Argentina and glued them to skewers. \u00a0We tried to create a rustic setting by using burlap, browns, and creamy colors.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2012\/10\/10\/our-wine-crawl-take-2\/wine-crawl-crackers\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-13295\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Saltines are a must for cleansing the palate. \u00a0I also wrote up descriptions of the types of wine we served.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 center;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0The fun thing about a wine crawl is you get the opportunity to sample a variety of wines. \u00a0If our guests didn&#8217;t enjoy the Argentina wines, they could pour them out. \u00a0It was a great use of the ice bucket, and it is a totally acceptable thing to do when tasting wine. \u00a0Just remember to do it discreetly.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2012\/10\/10\/our-wine-crawl-take-2\/wine-crawl-better-flowers\/\" center;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Sunflowers were our centerpiece, and they were beautiful. \u00a0We used the rustic burlap as a tablecloth, and I put wood under the burlap to display the wine and make it a little higher to showcase what we were tasting.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/the2seasons.com\/2012\/10\/10\/our-wine-crawl-take-2\/wine-crawl-host\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-13299\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large occassion.
