I am not a big fan of toast. \u00a0It is kind of a boring breakfast to me. \u00a0However, if I have<\/em> to eat it, I will always turn it into cinnamon toast.<\/h3>\n

One of the lessons I learned from a favorite author of mine, Alexandra Stoddard<\/a>, is that we should try to turn mundane everyday rituals into something special so that we will have beauty in our lives daily.<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

I have attempted to do so by premixing my cinnamon and sugar and storing them in this little antique shaker.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

My mother gave it to me several years ago, and she dutifully told me, “Don’t break it”. \u00a0That is code for “it’s valuable so hide it away in a cabinet, let it gather dust, and never use it”.<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

She should know by now that everything in our house gets used. \u00a0If it’s here, I’m using it.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Even though the top is aged and rough, it is clean. \u00a0The holes are oversized because, I have been told, it was originally used for powdered sugar.<\/h3>\n

Its roughness might put some people off, but what I know is that I am lovin’ it, I’m usin’ it, and I’m adding some beauty to my day.<\/h3>\n
