When Jordan and I painted and restyled her back porch<\/a> a few weeks ago, \u00a0we shopped the house for colorful accessories to add those pops of color everyone loves.<\/h3>\n

One of the colorful props we added was this hand-me-down art poster that I gave her. \u00a0It is a 1908 contemporary interpretation of the Pompidou Center in Paris. \u00a0The colors are wonderful and so in your face. \u00a0It is a challenge to hang, though, because instead of one little nail hook in the back, there are two.<\/h3>\n

Two, as in you better get the two nails pounded in straight or the poster will be crooked.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Jordan assured me there was nothing to worry about it we followed her tips. \u00a0We used:<\/h3>\n

\u00a0– Painter tape<\/em><\/h3>\n

\u00a0– 1 Level<\/em><\/h3>\n

\u00a0– 1 pencil<\/em><\/h3>\n

\u00a0– 2 nails<\/em><\/h3>\n

\u00a0– 1 hammer<\/em><\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

1. \u00a0Put masking or painter tape over the holes in the poster backing and then use a pencil to mark the holes on the tape.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

2. \u00a0 Place the tape on the wall where you want to hang the art. \u00a0Use a level to make sure the tape is straight. \u00a0Pound in the first nail and check the level again.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

3. \u00a0Then pound in the second nail. \u00a0Be sure to watch your fingers – ahem – if you are new at this.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

4. \u00a0Carefully hang the art.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

5. \u00a0Then check with the level again to make sure it is even.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

6. \u00a0Finally, stand back and admire your handiwork and pat yourself on the back because you just realized old dogs really can learn new tricks. \u00a0And by the way, this method would work even if you have an advanced art hanging degree and are using toggle bolts.<\/h3>\n
