It’s not in my nature to shop in the street, but when my mom found this<\/a> on July 4th, I decided to one-up her. \u00a0When she visited last week, we made it a point to walk Gracie every morning so we could all get some exercise.<\/h3>\n

One morning we found this table lying in the grass in front of one of the beautiful historic homes in my neighborhood.<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We kept walking but mentioned that it would be a good fixer-upper. \u00a0One of its leaves was split, and it needed a good paint job. \u00a0Since we already had a work station set up in my garage and driveway for other projects, we decided to add this table to the mix.<\/h3>\n

We removed the broken leaf, cleaned it up, sanded it a little, and applied the same paint that I use on our interior trim. \u00a0It is petite, as you can see, and I had the perfect spot for it.<\/h3>\n

We have a tiny anteroom between our porch and our living room. \u00a0It is typical here in Syracuse because an anteroom keeps some of the cold out when we enter from the outside. \u00a0We really haven’t done anything in the way of decorating in there till now. \u00a0The little table is the perfect fit. \u00a0I am keeping it plain white so that it matches the molding and a row of coat hooks that hang above it. \u00a0So, just like my mom, I have a fab freebie.<\/h3>\n
