Every Wednesday night Mr. Autumn and I have date night. \u00a0We walk to the local historic theater where they show a classic movie.<\/h3>\n

We always walk past some historic homes and cute shops on our way to the theater.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

Last week’s date night also happened to be July 4th. \u00a0The theater was showing the Jimmy Stewart film, “Mr. Smith Goes to<\/em> Washington<\/em>“. \u00a0It was the perfect movie to see on that day, and it was the first time Mr. Autumn saw it.<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

Another first happened that evening, also. \u00a0On the way to the theater, a shop had a bookshelf full of items sitting on the side walk, and a sign that said “Free” was sitting on top of the shelf. \u00a0It was full of dish sets, books, pitchers, trays, and just plain ole cute things. \u00a0I didn’t think a thing of it and kept walking.<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

When we were on our way home, there were noticeably fewer items, but this little plate was still there. \u00a0With out missing a step, I grabbed it and kept walking. \u00a0The fish subject matter didn’t hook me, but the blue and white did. \u00a0I’ve never ever taken anything off the street to become my own, so this was a first.<\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

I knew the fish plate would blend right in to my “blues hutch” in our kitchen<\/a>. \u00a0And it does!!!<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

<\/h3>\n

When the door is closed (excuse the glare), it doesn’t shout fish plate. \u00a0Instead it whispers another blue and white plate. \u00a0I’m fine with that. \u00a0I can nestle it behind some of the other plates, tea pots and pitchers, and add another layer of interest to my always changing display.<\/h3>\n
