Hello, friends. Welcome to a new week. I am here to tell you that the domino effect is alive and well here at our house. As I mentioned already, perhaps a million times, the dining room shelves and cabinets were installed last week. (I am waiting for the hardware to be installed before I take photos to share with you.) That means we had to move some things to make space. We gave the armoire to a friend, and we played some musical chairs. And because of all of that, we have a new look in the kitchen.
The chair that created a little reading nook in the corner of the dining room has found a new home. It now lives in a corner of the kitchen, and I really like it there so much better than the previous chair which is now in our master bedroom. And the chair from the master is now in a guest room. See what I mean about the domino effect?
Anyway, I have always liked the look of an upholstered chair in a kitchen. My friend Missie has one in her kitchen, and it’s a great place to sit and have a conversation while she is doing something else in the room. So, I am thrilled that our navy and white chair looks right at home in our kitchen.
I have already spent some time in it reading the epic book I am working my way through (Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett,) and I can peek out the window, too. I did sit in the other chair, but this one is just more comfy and inviting. I am so happy with the new look in the kitchen. Oh, and if you want to see the chair in its previous home in the dining room, go here.
Do you have a chair in your kitchen for sitting and lounging?
Take care.
I, like you, like to have some seating in the kitchen and that chair looks perfect there.
What a cosy spot to enjoy your book.
