Greetings, everyone. It’s so good to be back here on the blog. Life has been crazy the last few weeks, and it will be crazy for a few more. I thought it might be nice to fill you in on what’s been going on. Yankee and I just returned from a wonderful vacation in Southeast Asia where we spent 20 days. It was so cool.
We were in Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Some people asked if we went to pick up Little Miss, but no, that won’t happen till some time next year, and she is in Thailand. I’ll be sharing photos of our trip for sure.
Because these vacation plans were made long before Yankee was transferred to North Carolina, we flew home to Syracuse to get our car. Since the movers came right before we left on vacation, we had to stay in a hotel. Ha!
We drove to North Carolina this week but stopped off at my brother’s and sister-in-law’s in DC on the way. They are dog-sitting Gracie (Mom had her for a while, too) because we will be spending a few weeks in corporate housing, and pets aren’t allowed there. We closed on our house as soon as we arrived in Charlotte, and there’s a whole lot of painting to do. We are going to stay in corporate housing for a few weeks so I can clean and get the painting started. As you know this task will be easier without furniture and/or Gracie to get in my way.
I will miss my daily dose of you two! Looking forward to the new adventures ahead that will fill your blog.
Wow! You and your mom sure log in the miles!! I know you’ll be glad to get settled in your new home and have a whole new set of projects to blog about!!
XO,
CR
Life sure is full of adventures for all of you! Good luck on the move and if you need any kitchen expertise, I would love to offer my two cents! Debra!
Thanks, Debra. I might take you up on that!
Jordan sounds like you all had an awesome vacation and your new home looks beautiful. I know you and your mom will have it looking amazing. You are both so talented in knowing how to paint, decorate and even woodworking. Look so forward to seeing before and after pictures. Just try to take a little time to rest up some in between all of the projects!!
Good advice, Alicia!
Love it! Nice to see people living life with their significant others, instead of just doing things to have fodder for the blog. Not that I don’t enjoy those, too. This is refreshing! I’ll check in regularly, and enjoy the posts when they come.
