I Painted Stacking Tables

It is always fun to renew the looks of a well-used piece of furniture, and I have done it again.

The last time  you saw the table in question, it looked like this.  (You can read about it here).

Originally, we had just one of the three stacking tables, which originally belonged to my husband’s late aunt.  However, we rearranged our great room furniture when I bought a new chair (here), and we realized that we could use the other two.  My mother-in-law had them at her place in storage so they were easy to obtain.

The nice thing about these tables, which were originally a mahogany finish, is they tuck away nicely inside each other when not in use.

However, it’s easy to pull one out and move it where it is needed when we have guests.  They are the perfect size for holding a beverage.

I used Annie Sloan’s antique white paint and polished it with a dark Briwax.  Then I sanded it in several places.  The inserts are a pretty graphic scrapbook paper that I bought at Michael’s.  I call this project a success.

While I’m not, normally, a fan of white-painted furniture, these little tables, next to the fabulous chair, are perfect. I often look at scrap booking paper and large sheets of wrapping paper and think that I’d like to use it where I live – I love that you did!
